The Ipswich Pipe Band Championships return to the Ipswich Showground Main Arena for a full day of music, competition, and Scottish tradition!

Bring the whole family along for this FREE community event and experience the stirring sound of pipes and drums as bands from across Queensland and New South Wales compete for championship honours.

- Watch incredible performances throughout the day
- Enjoy the atmosphere, music, and tradition of Scottish pipe bands
- Don’t miss the spectacular Massed Pipes & Drums finale at 4:30pm, featuring hundreds of pipers and drummers performing together in a breathtaking tartan display

Ipswich Circus Festival

Roll up for a dazzling evening of circus arts in an intimate cabaret setting - think acrobatics, contortion, juggling, and live music under the lights.   

Saturday | 10am–4pm | Community Day 
The big top energy spills into the streets! With roving performers and youth circus showcases, there's something for every age and every level of brave.  Add on workshops - acrobatics, high-impact tumbling, German wheel, acro-yoga - or just have a go at juggling, hula hoops, and more in our come-and-try spaces.

Winter Meat Feast Twilight Carnival 2026

Saturday 11th July

Fire up your appetite at the Winter Meat Feast, with smoky BBQ aromas, slow-cooked meats and mouth-watering food creations fresh off the grill.

Enjoy a feast of flavours from specialty meat vendors and a variety food trucks (with delicious options available for vegetarians and other dietary needs), grab a drink from the licensed bar, and soak up the atmosphere with live country music and join in the line dancing fun. There'll also be market stalls to browse, carnival rides and plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained.

And when the sun goes down, make your way to the spectacular bonfire – the ultimate centrepiece of an unforgettable winter night at the Ipswich Showgrounds.

BULL-O-RAMA July 2026

Saturday 25th July

Join us for the ultimate adrenaline-fuelled action as you watch bull-riding cowboys take on some of the country’s meanest bulls. Featuring novice bulls, mini bulls, junior bulls, and of course, the main event, the open bull ride, providing non-stop action from start to finish.  Including a licenced bar, scrumptious food trucks, market stalls and non-stop entertainment. 

After Party with entertainment from DJ Willie Pake!
